 The new ward created for the May 2024

 Maidstone Borough Council Election

Welcome to the  website to introduce residents to what has  happened  from May 2024.

The new ward was created with the merging of Harrietsham & Lenham Ward plus the North Downs ward minus Stockbury parish. This will now become a ward represented by 3 Borough Councillors.

It represents  more than 20%  of the total land area of the whole of the borough.

It is a significant area, and we

welcome the opportunity to

 work with Parish Councils,

residents and local groups within these areas.

The new ward will importantly cover our AONB Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The North Downs is a valuable natural asset needing our protection and this will be important now and in the future with pressures of development.

Firstly, we would like to express our thanks for all the support that residents of this new  ward gave to us all

We take that responsibility seriously and intend to work hard to best serve our community

As a team of three Independent Councillors, covering what is now the largest ward in Maidstone, we will work closely together as a trio to represent you as best we can. 

We intend to be contactable, accountable and visible for all. We will continue to be involved in community events, organisations and campaigns, to be proactive on issues that affect our communities and

reactive as the need arises.

We will work collaboratively with our Parish Councils and our KCC Councillor, to support their work and ours. We will all continue to volunteer with the many groups and organisations in our communities.
