LENHAM & HARRIETSHAM Speedwatch Scheme's are looking for volunteers to support them in reducing speed and improving the safety on their roads with the support of the police. Speedwatch is a community-based scheme where volunteers record speed of passing vehicles in the area where they live. Residents and businesses of HARRIETSHAM and LENHAM are advised to be vigilant when taking cash payments following an incident locally in which counterfeit currency was used to purchase goods and receive a large amount of change.
Catapult Incidents in LENHAM #246605258 April 23rd
Following multiple incidents involving youths with catapults recently in LENHAM, residents are encouraged to report sightings of groups of youths with catapults and slingshots to police.
Police will always look to attend ongoing incidents of damage being caused and local CSU officers will be patrolling LENHAM in the coming weeks to deter further issues and deal with any incidents that may arise. If the incident is ongoing with property being damaged please call in to report on 999.

Proactive Patrol of LENHAM and HARRIETSHAM [#235913278] March 26th
Yesterday, local CSU officers conducted a proactive patrol of LENHAM and HARRIETSHAM. Whilst there officers located a large HGV that was unable to pass under the HARRIETSHAM railway bridge and causing an obstruction, hindering traffic. Officers ensured the vehicle could safely turn around and head back to ASHFORD, removing the obstruction.
Stolen Vehicle Found [#219749162]
Yesterday, on the 20th of February 2024 after numerous reports from local residents in Lenham Village a vehicle was found abandoned and causing a nuisance from the way it was left. Police have attended and been able to ascertain that the vehicle was stolen so it was recovered and will play a key part in the investigation. Police were also able to give the victim a good news call to say that they would be getting there vehicle back.
The vehicle was not stolen from Lenham or any surrounding areas and this is not a trend however please always be aware of anything suspicious and please take steps to secure your vehicles especially if they are keyless entry.
